The possibilities with play dough are unlimited. To “mix it up” when it comes to creating with play dough, we combine play dough with other resources to inspire creative thinking. Recently we have gone back to one of our favourite combinations – play dough and pictures from calendars.
Calendars are one of those resources that can be used for so many creative experiences and now is the time to get them. I’ve seen calendars still on sale (70% off the already reduced price, which is a steal). Also, see if any friends are disposing of last year’s calendar and if you are able to add some calendars to your stash of resources. Master Five who has been enjoying the beach this summer was keen to choose a beach scene. Master Five included play dough boats, a sand castle, life savers club house, a crab, a person on the beach and sand (complete with “footprints”).
